An inherent dreamer, artist Heather McNeary expresses her imagination through her fine art. Emerging from a background of both art and science education, she finds a unique balance between her creative thought process and meticulous style.

Heather’s artistic method combines passion, training, and resourcefulness, utilizing various application techniques in acrylic & watercolor mediums to achieve a desired effect. Her enchanted and romantic approach to realism combined with her extraordinary attention to detail has helped distinguish her painting style as very illustrative and magical. Inspired by the many shapes, patterns, and wonders of nature, that began in early childhood, it is no accident that her work reflects a love of such beauty.

After considerable art education, and ultimately graduating college with honors in Geology, her professional life would quickly evolve into positions in information systems management and database programming where her developing graphic design skills were also often requested. In her spare time, she designed flyers and event programs for local organizations, performed several commissioned illustrations, and continued to paint for personal fulfillment. An opportunity many years ago inspired Heather to finally pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a professional artist.

Starting a family, and her own business simultaneously, Heather learned early on that balancing the responsibilities of a devoted mother with her increasing artistic momentum is both rewarding and challenging. Today, she remains deeply dedicated to her life roles and especially grateful for every achievement. From painted furniture to canvas, Heather's artwork has been jury selected for many exhibits, publicly exhibited in several cities, and sold to collectors around the United States. She continues to dream up new enchanted worlds, mystical settings and magical beings in her her studio in Franklin, TN.
