| Enchantress, the figure, was inspired by the watercolor background that was the start of this piece. After completing an experimental wash of watercolor textures, I envisioned a very serene woodland fairy with frail wings sitting peacefully within her dreamlike setting. The idea was to make this enchanting creature a part of her surroundings, while still drawing the focus toward her. Her headdress of leaves from the tree that must be her dwelling, as well as the figure herself, are painted with a mixture of watercolor and acrylic. The delicate wings are painted primarily with watercolor, and defined with watercolor pencil. | ||||||||
